Best Hair Brush for Your Hair

Are you using the right hair brush? Well hang on, let me start with this question: have you considered which kind of hair brush you are using?!
I have some recommendations based on which brushes do what, and which hair type and texture would benefit the most!
01. Paddle Brush:
- A good all-around brush and the most gentle type.
- Ball-point tips on the bristle ends.
- Has a cushion base, which is excellent for smoothing and detangling dry hair.
- Not a great option to use while blow-drying.
- Best for someone with fine hair.
02. Nylon Bristle Brush:
- Bristles are strong and sturdy. Great for long, thick, strong hair.
- Great for detangling thick hair
- No ball-point tips, so not ideal for fine hair or those with a sensitive scalp.
- Great basic starter brush
- Best for someone with long, thick, strong, wavy/straight hair.
03. Boar and Nylon Mix Brush:
- A great all-around brush for many people. A good-sized brush.
- Longer bristles with ball-point tip for detangling + boar bristles for smoothing.
- Cushion base, which gives flexibility on the scalp.
- Best for individuals with hair that is easy to style, brush through, and in good condition.
04. Vented Paddle Brush:
- Has ball-point tips on the end of the bristles and is great for detangling. It will glide smoothly through the hair.
- Has vents for the air to flow through, so it’s great to use for effective blow drying.
- Has a little flex and give.
- Perfect for a lot of different hair types and is a good universal brush.
- Best for someone who blow-dries their hair a lot and wants to save time.
05. Boar Bristle Brush:
- Helps to stimulate the scalp, like a scalp massage. This will help distribute the natural oils of the scalp throughout the hair. Not great for those with oily hair.
- Boar bristles are intended for smoothing and reducing frizz, but not for detangling.
- Great for fine or medium texture hair.
****For those with curly hair:
Generally, depending on the type of hair you have, a wide-tooth comb will be best. Any hair brush with bristles that are set apart will serve you better than bristles that are close together in the cushion.
