L’Oréal Opens First Travel Retail Beauty Boutique in Africa at Abuja Airport

THE WHAT? L’Oréal, in partnership with Inter African Market (IAM) and Dune Duty Free, has launched its first standalone L’Oréal travel retail boutique in Africa at Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport in Abuja.

THE DETAILS The 50-square-metre space opened on 6 November 2025 and features a cross-category lineup spanning luxury fragrance, makeup and dermocosmetics, including YSL, Lancôme, Giorgio Armani, Prada, Valentino, Mugler, Ralph Lauren, Maison Margiela, La Roche-Posay, Vichy and CeraVe.

Developed with IAM — a key distributor of luxury beauty across Sub-Saharan Africa — the boutique is positioned to meet rising demand for premium beauty among Nigeria’s international travellers. Located in one of the country’s busiest airports, the store incorporates locally crafted design elements and supports skills development through globally trained beauty advisors.

THE WHY? The opening strengthens L’Oréal’s travel retail strategy in high-growth African markets and reflects increasing appetite for luxury beauty in the region.
